Lobbying is a powerful strategy to raise awareness of your organization’s mission; mobilize key stakeholders; expand federal investment in your organization; and attract favorable media attention when performed professionally and ethically.

 

People hear the word lobbying and say, “We cannot afford it” or “Lobbying is for well-paid insiders who have access."  These statements are myths.  Lobbying on legislation and engaging in advocacy can reap huge benefits for your organization.

 

Our fee-based service includes a detailed lobbying training series.  Many clients would like to brush up on legislative skills and abilities.  NorthPort Communications offers a wide range of lobbyist training programs that tailored to fit your organizations specific needs. 

 

We will work closely with you to perform a Core Competencies evaluation to determine your organization’s ability to use existing staff to create an “in-house” capacity for legislative outreach on the federal level.  We offer also a three-hour seminar, “How to be you own best lobbyist,” with speakers including former Capitol Hill staffers and lobbyists.
